Youth “4K” Bible Study
Crossroads Youth are invited to a Bible study on
Sunday night at 6:30 p.m. Every session will start with a brief overview of how the model
we use to study God’s word is applied. From there we will do a thorough line by line
exegesis (breakdown and study) of the material decided upon by the group. This is the
perfect class for any youth or young adult who realizes that Bible study is a critical
part of the personal relationship with God but has never been exposed to a method by
which to derive personal meaning and contextual truth from the passages. This study will
equip the members to approach Bible study in their private lives in a whole new and
exciting way. God’s word is as powerful and relevant now as it was when written. Come
find out what God has put in the book dedicated specifically to the people who seek him.
What to expect from a Sunday and Wednesday night at the CrossXroadS
Typically we have some free time to fellowship, talk, X-Box
it up, music, etc. Then we like to have a more orderly time
where we share all the big events and announcements that are
going on in the lives of the youth at that time. Then on Wednesdays,
we have light Bible study and an in-depth discussion and life
application session. This is usually followed by a game of
some kind like flag football, dodgeball, baskteball, or Scene
it. This way both the mind and the body get a little exercise.
The environment is very relaxed and feedback oriented. Question
and answer sessions along with relevant topical discussions
about what is going on in the lives of the youth and the society
around us are often the real substance of Wednesday night.
On Sundays the theme is usually centered more on hardcore
Bible study. This may sound boring, but as the youth will
tell you, it involves a realistic approach and a model to
studying Gods word that is achievable by every Christian regardless
of his or her present relationship with Christ. Both times
have something to offer every walk of life. It is a very accepting
atmosphere that allows genuine discussion and encourages self
discovery. This set up appeals to most youth who stop by.
